PEOPLE & ORGANIZATIONS

A COLLABORATION OF COMMUNITY AND VISION

A VISION REALIZED

To memorialize the 150th anniversary of The Great Hunger (An Gorta Mór), and inspired by the more than 44 million Americans who claim Irish heritage, a dedicated group launched a campaign to promote, fund, and construct a memorial to the victims and survivors of one of the most catastrophic events in the world’s history. The project was completed and dedicated in October 2003.
