COLORS OF OUR HERITAGE

Four times a year, The Irish Memorial makes it possible for individuals, families, or groups to host the ceremonial changing of the flags at our monument.

The ceremonial process of changing and renewing the flags of their home country (which in some cases is their adopted home) and the flag from their ancestral home, helps people find a renewed sense of pride and solidarity with their fellow countrymen.

It serves as a powerful tribute to all immigrants who have made the difficult decision to leave another country and find a new life in America. This takes place with great ceremony and celebrates both countries and the enduring part they play in our shared heritage.

INFORMATION ON THE FLAG SPONSORSHIP

Please review the information on the flag sponsorship below. We are fortunate to be able to fly new Irish and American flags over the Irish Memorial site every quarter for the past 23 years through the generous support of organizations, families and individuals. This allows us to proudly fly new flags throughout the year.

Sponsorship Details

The cost is $400.00.

  • You will have the opportunity to raise and retire the flags at the start and end of your sponsorship period (typically March, June, September and December).
  • At the end of the sponsorship period, you will be presented with the flags and the sponsorship sign.
